The Master's degree in Sciences MER (« Marine Environment and Resources »)  is a joint European Master's degree in Oceanography. Organised in association with several universities (University of Southampton, Universidad del Pais Vasco, University of Bordeaux, Universidade dos Azores and University of Liège). Applications for Erasmus Mundus scholarships must be submitted by 15 January 2024 at the latest.

This two-year international programme in English (120 ECTS) is aimed at students from all over the world and is recognised by the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus programme.

Scholarships are therefore available for students who have passed all stages of the selection process. These grants cover tuition fees as well as accommodation, travel, etc. for the duration of the Masters course. Below you will find details of the process for candidates applying for the scholarship:

The online application system for 2024-2026 is open since November 20th 2023. Relevant information can be accessed through the MER2030 EMJMD website.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A NEW APPLICATION PROCEDURE CARRIED OUT IN 3 STEPS :
 
- The deadline for Step 1 (Eligibility Checking) January 15th 2024. Only those applicants considered eligible at this step will be allowed to apply for Erasmus Mundus Student Scholarships. 
- Eligible applicants will be allowed after mid February to apply for Erasmus Mundus Student Scholarships before Step 2 deadline (March 15th 2024).
